Starhill Global Reit has been in my watchlist for quite sometime already, and finally I have invested in it last week. Just for a quick background, the Reit owns stakes in prime retail and office properties in Singapore Malaysia, Australia, China and Japan. In Singapore, the REIT has a stake in Wisma Atria and the iconic Ngee Ann City that’s located in Singapore’s prime Orchard Road shopping belt. Both properties contributed close to 60% of the reits total asset value.
With its debt gearing at 37%, and with the fact that for the last 11 months in 2016 saw tourists visiting Singapore rose by 8% year-on-year, and tourist receipt grew by 12%, I've bought at the price of $0.73, which should translate to a dividend yield of 6.85% - 7%
